Seeking JOY Bloggers

Do you enjoy putting thoughts into written words?

Do you feel like you have a story to share with other women?

Do you love God and desire to use your life and giftings in service to Him?

If you answered 'yes' to those questions, how would you like to combine these passions together and write for God?

JOY International is looking to bring on a few more bloggers. Whether you'd like to be a guest blogger for the rest of the summer, or sign on for a three-month commitment, we'd love to hear what you have to say.

What is the JOY Blog?

As you may know, the JOY Blog provides a platform for mutual encouragement and inspiration and is a way for women to connect over common issues and interests. We have chosen topic categories that tie into our mission to help women in their "quest for meaningful life, a practical faith, and vibrant relationship with God."

These categories cover:

Leadership & Inspiration: Living a life of influence and finding the inspiration to live life fully
Spiritual Growth: Becoming more Christ-like through any of the spiritual disciplines
Faith & Work: Working, in whatever we do, as though we are working for the Lord
Community Outreach & Evangelism: Being Christ's hands, feet and voices in our communities
Culture & Events:Looking at popular issues and interests
Relationships: Changing and growing through our relationships with others
Health & Personal Growth: Experiencing physical, emotional, and psychological health and wellness

Who are the JOY Bloggers?

Our JOY Bloggers to-date have been women in their 30s to 60s who represent a variety of experiences and viewpoints. Two are empty nesters; five are mothers of school children; and one is a grandmother. We work as home makers and across fields of ministry, business, research, media, and writing. We have different struggles, questions, and dreams. Yet, we all share one thing in common -- loving Jesus Christ and desiring to serve JOY through our words.

Here are some of the comments from some of our JOY Bloggers about their experience on the JOY Blog:

  • "I have enjoyed being a JOY blogger because it has been a great opportunity to encourage and connect with other women." Cari Bousfield
  • "Being a JOY Blogger has shown me how much people like to connect over personal stories." Kaci Bower
  • "As a JOY Blogger, I can connect with other women beyond my four walls. My words can influence, inspire, and encourage others. The other JOY Bloggers have encouraged me too." Fran Dwelle
  • "Writing for the JOY Blog has shown me how God works in our lives to move us in directions we never thought we would go! It helped me grow my passion for writing and allowed me to network with others within the JOY community. I have enjoyed being a JOY Blogger because it was a new, fresh experience that gave me the opportunity to communicate with other women on their journeys of faith." Royann Bold

How to become a JOY Blogger

Our JOY community stretches far and wide. As long as you have access to email and the Internet, you can blog from wherever you live. In other words, there are no geographic restrictions.

If becoming a JOY Blogger sounds like something you'd like to do, please fill out the JOY Volunteer Profile form and send an email to info@joyintl.org with one idea for a blog post (just the idea, not the full piece.) If you're a fit, we'd love to bring you on!
