JOY held a Christmas Party for the women and children of the Adult Abused Resource Center. Ten JOY women brought the Christmas message of Jesus' birth and love, treat bags for the kids, gifts for the mothers, and lots of homemade cookies baked by JOY volunteers. We played games, read stories, held and rocked children and had a great time interacting with all.

A baby's death changes the natural order. The loss of parents or grandparents suits a natural flow, albeit life-changing and very difficult. But children? Without a doubt, children should outlive their parents. When they don't, it's simply devastating. When our baby was born still, our anticipated life's journey was irrevocably altered.

There is unlimited power in unity! Unity simply means having continuity in purpose or action. Psalm 133:1 says, "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" (New King James Version). The three key components associated with unity are agreement, harmony and oneness.
Isa 65:8 Thus says the LORD: "As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, 'Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it,' so will I do for My servants' sake, that I may not destroy them all. The primary meaning of "cluster" is that of a family, togetherness, and the manifold fullness of Christ in His Body.
In the past five hundred years or so, authentic Christians have perfected the art of separating themselves from other authentic Christians for countless self-justifying reasons. The formula is easy to remember and easy to follow: If we disagree, we part!
There is a lot more to having unity in the marriage simply for the sake of the marriage. God never seems to have only one benefit for our obedience. He really goes all out in His blessing His people. The point here is that we need to see unity in our congregations, cities and counties...
This messsage speaks of how unprotected Gods people are when we as leaders fail to unite according to Gods plan and structure. I hope this word will challenge you to begin to see Gods plan for church unity.
